Mereenie is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Australia and is operated by Central Petroleum. The field is located in block OL 5 and OL 4.
An expansion project is associated with the Mereenie, namely Mereenie Pilot Development . This project is currently in the feed stage.

Production from Mereenie
The Mereenie conventional gas field recovered 75.53% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2007. The peak production was approximately 0.92 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 44 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2038.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 21.94 Mmboe, comprised of 1.8 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 120.82 bcf of natural gas reserves. Mereenie conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
