Two expansion projects are associated with the Al-Shaheen conventional oil field, namely the Al-Shaheen Field Gallaf Project (Batch 3) and the Ruya Development. The expansion projects are currently in the commissioning and construction stage, targeting start-up during 2024 – 2027.

Production from Al-Shaheen

The Al-Shaheen conventional oil field recovered 46.32% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2029. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2075. The field currently accounts for approximately 6% of the country’s daily output.
