Qatargas 4 Conventional Gas Field, Qatar

Qatargas 4 is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Qatar and is operated by QatarEnergy. The field is located in block Qatargas 4, with water depth of 118 feet.

Production from Qatargas 4

The Qatargas 4 conventional gas field recovered 27.89% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2019. The peak production was approximately 59.57 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 1,111 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2075. The field currently accounts for approximately 5% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 2,156.74 Mmboe, comprised of 524.05 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 9,796.14 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves. Qatargas 4 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.70% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
