Sakarya Phase 1 is a conventional gas development located in ultra-deepwater in Turkey and is operated by Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi . Discovered in 2020, Sakarya Phase 1 lies in block C26,C27,D26,D27, with water depth of around 12,956 feet.

The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. The development cost is expected to be $3,200 m. The Sakarya Phase 1 conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately 10 wells.

Production from Sakarya Phase 1

Production from the Sakarya Phase 1 conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2030, to approximately 343 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2057.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 328.64 Mmboe, comprised of 1,971.84 bcf of natural gas reserves.
