Production from Shengli

The Shengli heavy oil field recovered 58.03% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1996. The peak production was approximately 584.33 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 115 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2061. The field currently accounts for approximately 6% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 3,498.26 Mmboe, comprised of 3,450.64 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 285.73 bcf of natural gas reserves. Shengli heavy oil field reserves accounts 7.62% of total remaining reserves of producing heavy oil fields globally.
