Shushufindi-Aguarico is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Ecuador and is operated by Petroamazonas EP. The field is located in block Block 57 (Shushufindi Libertador).

Production from Shushufindi-Aguarico

The Shushufindi-Aguarico conventional oil field recovered 64.92% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 81.78 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 27 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2050. The field currently accounts for approximately 10% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 257.62 Mmboe, comprised of 250.29 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 43.99 bcf of natural gas reserves. Shushufindi-Aguarico conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.06% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
