Mitsui OSK Lines will operate the upcoming Soko Floating LNG regasification terminal, proposed to be built in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in China. The terminal is expected to start operations in 2022 and will be owned by Hong Kong Electric (Natural Gas), CLP Holdings, and China Southern Power Grid.


The Soko Floating LNG regasification terminal has a proposed regasification capacity of 292bcf/annum (billion cubic feet) and storage capacity of 0.12 million tons (Mt).


During the period 2021-2025, the Soko Floating regasification terminal is expected to witness an estimated capex of $206.3m.
