South Pars Phase 1 is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Iran and is operated by Pars Oil and Gas. The field is located in block South Pars Phase 1, with water depth of 231 feet.

Production from South Pars Phase 1

The South Pars Phase 1 conventional gas field recovered 85.40% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2005. The peak production was approximately 44 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 970 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2037. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 194.18 Mmboe, comprised of 22.32 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 1,031.17 bcf of natural gas reserves. South Pars Phase 1 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.07% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
