Tapis is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Malaysia and is operated by ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia. The field is located in block PM 309 and PM 9, with water depth of 180 feet.

Production from Tapis

The Tapis conventional oil field recovered 97.92% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1980. The peak production was approximately 81 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2026. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
