Visund Sør is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Norway and is operated by Equinor Energy. The field is located in block 34/8P (PL 120), with water depth of 958 feet.

Production from Visund Sør

The Visund Sør conventional gas field recovered 72.84% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2015. The peak production was approximately 11 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 75 Mmcfd of natural gas and 3.56 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2053.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 21.29 Mmboe, comprised of 3.65 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 105.87 bcf of natural gas reserves. Visund Sør conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
