Yakaar-Teranga Phase 1 is a conventional gas development located in ultra-deepwater in Senegal and is operated by BP. Discovered in 2016, Yakaar-Teranga Phase 1 lies in block Cayar Offshore Profond, with water depth of around 8,364 feet.
The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2022.

Production from Yakaar-Teranga Phase 1
Production from the Yakaar-Teranga Phase 1 conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2033, to approximately 500 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2053.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 456.51 Mmboe, comprised of 2,739.07 bcf of natural gas reserves.
