Zafiro is a producing conventional oil field located in deepwater in Equatorial Guinea and is operated by Mobil Equatorial Guinea. The field is located in block Block B and Zafiro Development Area, with water depth of 1,689 feet.

The field is owned by Exxon Mobil, GEPetrol and Government of Equatorial Guinea.
Production from Zafiro
The Zafiro conventional oil field recovered 90.63% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2004. The peak production was approximately 280 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2032. The field currently accounts for approximately 25% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 124.2 Mmboe, comprised of 124.2 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Zafiro conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
