US-based oil and gas company Angus Energy, through its wholly owned subsidiary Angus Energy Weald Basin No.3 Limited, has signed an agreement to acquire 25% stake in the PEDL244 licence from Cuadrilla Balcombe and Lucas Bolney for £4m ($5.54m).

Cuadrilla Balcombe and Lucas Bolney are both oil and gas companies based in the UK.

The existing partners in the PEDL244 licence are Cuadrilla Balcombe (75%) and Lucas Bolney (25%).

The partners in the PEDL244 licence following the completion of the deal will be Cuadrilla Balcombe (56.25%), Angus Energy (25%) and Lucas Bolney (18.75%).

The deal will enable Angus Energy to strengthen its oil and gas portfolio.

Vanguard Natural Resources plans to dispose its oil and gas acreage located in Ward County in the Delaware Basin, Texas, US.

The deal will expand Firehawk’s oil and gas assets portfolio in the Williston Basin.

Samson Oil & Gas intends to use the sale proceeds to repay its debts.

US-based oil and gas company Double Eagle Royalty plans to dispose its oil and gas assets located in Delaware Basin, Texas, US.

Covering approximately 2,556 net royalty acres, the assets are located in the Reeves, War, Winkler, Pecos, Culberson and Loving counties.
