BP Plc plans to purchase 16.5% interest in Clair oilfield in West Shetlands, North Sea, UK, from ConocoPhillips.
The oilfield lies in a water depth of 150m, spans across five blocks and covers an area of 54,300 acres.

The transaction was executed through Eni’s subsidiary Eni Finance International SA (formerly Eni Coordination Center SA).
UAE-based Shelf Drilling has entered an agreement to acquire Ocean Scepter jack-up drilling rig from the Diamond Offshore subsidiaries for $90m.
The Ocean Scepter drilling rig was built in 2008 and features KFELS Mod Super B design. The rig is currently located in the US Gulf of Mexico and will be moved to the Middle East upon completion of the transaction.
