Houston-based Eagle LNG Partners has signed a long-term agreement (LTA) with Barbuda Ocean Club in Barbuda, West Indies, for the use of natural gas for power generation.
Under the agreement, Eagle LNG will provide a turn-key solution for Barbuda Ocean Club, which includes US-sourced natural gas, storm-resilient equipment, and will invest in power generation.

It will also provide on-island storage, as well as regasification, ‘assuring natural gas for extended periods should weather inhibit deliveries’.
Switching to natural gas-driven generation enables Barbuda Ocean Club to work with Eagle LNG to further introduce low carbon solutions.
These solutions include renewable generation to allow ‘sustainable growth of the development’ in Barbuda.

Barbuda Ocean Club is a private resort and community. It is part of the US-based real estate developer Discovery Land Company.
