The IRS has been designed to offer the functionality of the blow-out preventer. It establishes and maintains well access throughout riser to surface operations ensuring control over well operations and connectivity to the production tree.

It is equipped with increased coil tubing cutting and disconnect capabilities to operate as alternative dual barrier, through-tubing system.

The RWI system serves as a reliable wire through-water integrated solution to enable cost-effective intervention, in addition to abandonment operations on subsea wells.

“By offering a full-service solution to subsea well intervention operations, we can bring multiple services under one contract to lower the cost.”

Expro Subsea vice-president Colin Mackenzie said: “With an increased requirement for subsea intervention, operators are looking for solutions to ensure safe operations and optimised production.
