Petroleum company JXTG Nippon Oil and Energy has selected Aspen Technology’s aspenONE Petroleum Supply Chain software to optimise its economic and operational planning.

Aspen PIMS-AO, Aspen Petroleum Scheduler and Aspen Multi-Blend Optimizer products will help the Japanese firm to optimise refinery profitability and reduce product quality giveaway.

JXTG Nippon Oil and Energy Supply Planning & Optimization Department general manager Hideki Shiina said: “After a rigorous selection process, we have selected aspenONE Petroleum Supply Chain and deployed Aspen Petroleum Scheduler in four refineries locally.

The AspenTech platform is expected to enable JXTG Nippon Oil and Energy to carry out key refinery planning and scheduling activities and optimise its entire operations asset lifecycle.
