Gear Energy (Gear) has completed the acquisition of oil and gas company Steppe Resources (Steppe).
Each shareholder of Steppe was issued 0.1445 common shares of Gear for each common share held, as part of the acquisition. A total of 21.9 million shares of Gear were acquired.
Gear is engaged in acquiring, exploring and developing oil and gas assets. Both companies involved in the transaction are based in Canada.

By GlobalDataSaaS and data analytics company Drillinginfo has purchased Oildex, an oil and gas financial automation software firm.
The acquisition is expected to expand Drillinginfo’s exploration and production, as well as its oil field services portfolio, with the addition of Olidex’s financial automation solutions.
Both companies involved in the acquisition are based in the US.
Altima Resources has entered an agreement to purchase 100% issued and outstanding shares of Crimson Oil and Gas (COGL) from Crimson Energy (Crimson).
Altima will pay $1.5m for the acquisition by issuing 15 million common shares, priced at $0.10 a share.
COGL’s assets include the Red Earth oil property comprising four well reactivations and recompletions and the Whiskey Creek natural gas assets with two recompletions connected to the COGL pipeline.
A number of smaller assets located in Alberta and B.C are also part of COGL’s asset package.
Altima Resources is an exploration and production company, while COGL is an oil and gas exploration company and Crimson Energy is a producer of light oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids.
All companies involved in the acquisition are based in Canada.
