Crown Point Energy has agreed to spend $28.36m for the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Apco Austral from Apco Oil and Gas International.
The purchase consideration is intended to be funded by Crown Point Energy through its existing cash resources and operating cash flows, as well as an equity and new debt financing.
Apco Austral owns a 25.78% participating interest in the Rio Cullen, Las Violetas and La Angostura hydrocarbon exploitation concessions (TDF Concessions) in the Tierra del Fuego region of the Austral basin in Southern Argentina.
The acquisition will enable Crown Point Energy to increase its stake in TDF Concessions from 25.78% to 51.56%.
The transaction is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2018.
