According to McDermott, a contract of this magnitude ranges between $750m and $1bn. The scope of the contract involves the construction of two topside structures, a new manifold tower, a jacket, a bridge, and associated pipelines and cables, along with necessary brownfield modifications.
McDermott offshore Middle East senior vice-president Mike Sutherland said: “McDermott shares ADNOC’s commitment to increase offshore production capacity and will do its part with safe, efficient delivery of the Nasr-115 expansion project to the highest quality standards.
“Our decades-long track record of delivering innovative, comprehensive solutions across complex offshore developments supports ADNOC’s vision for sustainable energy growth and to meet its capacity goals as part of the P5 project.”
The Nasr/Al-Nasr oilfield is situated around 130km north-west of Abu Dhabi City in the UAE. Initial oil production from this field began in January 2015, marking the completion of its early development phase known as Phase I.

Earlier this month, ADNOC announced the final investment decision for the SARB Deep Gas Development within the Ghasha Concession, located offshore Abu Dhabi.
This project will generate 200 million standard cubic feet of gas daily by decade’s end, which is sufficient to supply energy to more than 300,000 homes each day.
Featuring advanced technologies and AI for remote operation from Arzanah Island, the SARB Deep Gas Development will optimise existing infrastructure for improved efficiency and safety. Gas extraction will occur via a new offshore platform, with four wells connected to Das Island for integration into ADNOC Gas facilities.
