Aptomar is set to deliver its Clean To Operate (CTO) service to support drilling activities of DEA Norge on the Titan field in Norway to find any oil spill signs during its operations.

According to the Norwegian company, the service offers 24/7 monitoring, documentation and reporting of any oil spills.
Said to be applicable for drilling campaigns where all monitoring is executed using the standby rescue and supply vessels, the service allows Aptomar to monitor larger accumulations of birds and mammals.
Based on as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) approach, the monitoring, reporting and sensor packages are used from packages that are compliant with all relevant regulations.

By GlobalDataThe operator can use the service to obtain complete access to a CTO web portal that displays all hourly, daily and weekly reports.
In case of detection of an oil spill, the offshore installation is alarmed, and a common operating picture shared by the operator, NOFO, as well as the Norwegian Coastal Authority to begin action on the oil spill.
Solberg added: "In addition, when one of our electro-optical sensor platforms are installed on the vessels, it gives access to key features such as emergency, SAR and fire-fighting support."
