Ascent Resources has encountered high gas flows from the fracture stimulation completed on the Pg-10 well, which is located at the Petišovci project, Slovenia.

The preliminary testing of the shallowest of two stages resulted in a stabilised rate of 8.5 million standard cubic feet per day on a 20/64in choke, with a flowing well head pressure of over 290 barg.

Ascent Resources will recomplete the Pg-10 and Pg-11A wells in January and February 2012, and conduct further testing in order to gain a clear understanding of the reservoir’s long-term productivity.

The scope of work involves the replacement of a large-diameter fracture treatment work-string with smaller-diameter production tubing, and the installation of production packers and a flow head.
