Aubin Group, an offshore chemical engineering company, has formed a cooperation agreement with subsea flexible pipe specialist Flexlife to provide IM solutions to the oil and gas industry.
Under the cooperation agreement, Aubin Integrity, a division of Aubin Group, will supply its development team to create bespoke products and also provide offshore personnel for operations.

In order to ensure quality deployment for all applications, Flexlife will introduce its subsea engineering and project management expertise.
The two companies previously collaborated on various projects to help mitigate corrosion in areas around the offshore platforms’ critical splash zone region where the seawater and air interface are expected to lead to integrity issues.
Besides serving to increase the remnant life of risers, the projects can also defer or obviate the major capital expenditure, which would be needed if the degraded risers had to be restored.
As part of the cooperation a range of pipeline isolation polymers have been developed, which have been used to address major integrity issues within the substructure of an offshore platform in the UKCS.
