Borr Drilling has accepted the letter of intent (LoI) from BW Energy Dussafu to carry out a drilling campaign in offshore Gabon.
Under the new contract, Borr’s high-specification jack-up Norve will be deployed to drill and complete two subsea development wells.

The BMC Pacific Class 400 jack-up rig was acquired by the company in May.
Constructed at PPL Shipyard in Singapore, the facility is competent to operate in water depths of up to 400ft and also has offline capabilities.
Currently, it is located at Limbe in Cameroon from where it will be mobilised at the first drilling location in December.
Scheduled to start in January, the campaign is estimated to take around 140 to 160 days.

Last July, the company was contracted by Total E&P Nigeria to deploy premium jack-up, Frigg, in conjunction with the Nigerian partner company Valiant Energy Services West Africa.
The one-year contract started this quarter and also includes an extension option.
