The operator drilled Worrior-11 towards east-southeast from a surface location 75m south-southeast of Worrior-2. To improve oil recovery from the field, it was drilled to a subsurface target location 150m north-northeast of Worrior-1.

"This is a very pleasing result, which supports the remaining production and development potential in the Worrior oil field."

It encountered a 5.2m net oil column at its primary target located in the lower Birkhead Formation / Hutton Sandstone interval.

It also interpreted 3.9m of net oil in the mid-Birkhead Formation and 2.2m of net oil in the secondary target McKinlay Member.

Cooper Energy managing director David Maxwell said: “This is a very pleasing result, which supports the remaining production and development potential in the Worrior oil field.”

Cooper Energy is an ASX listed exploration and production company that owns a portfolio of gas reserves and resources, and is actively involved in oil exploration and production within Cooper Basin.
