Deep Gulf Energy has selected Technip to develop the ultra-deepwater Odd Job field located in Mississippi Canyon, offshore New Orleans, US.
The field is located in the Gulf of Mexico in water depths ranging from 1,330m to 1,825m.

Technip will provide services, including project management, engineering, fabrication and installation, of approximately 23km of pipe-in-pipe flowline.
The company also will supply fabrication services and install about 2km of steel catenary riser (SCR).
As part of the Odd Job field development, Technip will also offer design, fabrication and installation of in-line sled, flowline end termination, fabrication of jumper and pre-commissioning for the flowline and SCR system.
The project will be completely managed by Technip’s operating centre in Houston, Texas, while the SCR and flowline system will be fabricated at its spoolbase in Mobile, Alabama.

By GlobalDataTechnip will use its Deep Blue ultra-deepwater pipelay and subsea construction vessel to perform offshore installation in 2016.
