ITC’s VSAT solution includes equipment, installation, 24/7 network monitoring and support.

By deploying services to Maersk’s nine offshore rigs spanning across the North Sea, West Africa, Gulf of Mexico and South East Asia, ITC will modernise the systems on-board to provide a better service to the rigs.

"As the industry continues to experience some unpredictability, oil and gas customers are reviewing their partner relationships and looking for the most efficient, best overall value solutions."

Installations are expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of this year.

ITC Global sales and business development vice-president Richard Elson said: "As the industry continues to experience some unpredictability, oil and gas customers are reviewing their partner relationships and looking for the most efficient, best overall value solutions.
