The pipeline, which is expected to cost about $300m, will start in Madison County continuing south via Walker, Grimes, Montgomery and Harris counties.

"When completed, the added capacity provided by the Knight Warrior pipeline will help the prolific Eaglebine/Woodbine region achieve its full potential by giving producers there direct access to the Gulf Coast refinery complex, as well as other US and foreign markets."

It will have an initial capacity of 100,000 BPD with options to expand up to 200,000 BPD.

The pipeline will serve Eaglebine/Woodbine crude oil producers through two origination stations located near North Zulch and Madisonville, and a third station near Roans Prairie.

Knight Warrior has appointed a team of experts led by Fred Brown, senior project manager, to manage construction of the pipeline.

The company expects the pipeline to start operations second-quarter 2016. Shipper commitments, including a transportation agreement with Vitol and SEI Energy, support the project.
