Engineering services provider Lamprell has been awarded two construction contracts worth $200m from Nexen Petroleum UK for the Golden Eagle Development in the UK North Sea.

The first contract comprises a two-level wellhead deck, measuring 50m by 50m and weighing 4,000t.

The second contract is for the construction of a three-level production, utilities and quarters deck, weighing 10,000t.

Both decks will be built at Lamprell’s Jebel Ali yard in the UAE, and will be delivered in 2013 and 2014.
