Gazprom plans to dispose its 49.98% interest in Gascade Gastransport, according to Interfax’s report.

Gascade Gastransport is currently owned by BASF SE (50.02%) and Gazprom (49.98%). The company owns 2,400km-long natural gas pipelines, nine compressor stations and 29 compressor units.

The deal forms part of Gazprom’s divestiture plan to raise approximately $5.87bn.

Macquarie Group plans to acquire interest in Compania Logistica de Hidrocarburos (CLH) from Ardian Investment UK (formerly AXA Private Equity).

The deal is expected to involve a purchase consideration of approximately $1.13bn, according to sources familiar with the matter.

CLH owns and operates more than 4,000km of pipelines and 40 storage facilities in Spain and main fuel pipeline and storage network in the UK.

The acquisition is part of Macquarie’ strategy to extend its global asset management capabilities.

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has agreed to acquire the remaining 50% joint venture stake in Saudi Petrochemical Company (SADAF) from Shell Chemicals Arabia, an affiliate of Royal Dutch Shell. The deal involves a purchase consideration of $820m.

SADAF owns six petrochemical plants with a total production capacity of more than four million metric tonnes a year of various chemicals. The company also operates a co-generation plant.

The acquisition will enable SABIC to enhance its operations and profitability and will allow Shell to concentrate on its downstream operations.
