Drone-based industrial inspection service provider Sky-Futures has been awarded a three-year contract by oil and gas company Eni to inspect all its facilities worldwide using drones.
Sky-Futures claimed that this global contract is the first of its kind between a drone-based technology company and an international oil and gas business, marking a significant shift in the oil and gas market.

Sky-Futures chief executive officer James Harrison said: “By partnering with Eni we can further enhance the benefits on offer by analysing and forecasting operational issues before they happen.”
Under the deal, Sky-Futures will provide drone data capture, inspection analysis and visualisation technology services that will enable its client to perform efficiently by reducing operating costs and hazards.
By evaluating data and delivering standardised reports in Sky-Futures’ Expanse software, stakeholders can have access to the latest information on their assets immediately, securely and globally through the cloud.
Sky-Futures’ drone-based inspection services have been operating since 2009 and assist in improving safety and reducing risk across industries.
