Once all facilities are completed in July this year, the midstream natural gas company will be capable of processing 335 million cubic feet of natural gas per day (mmcf/d) and fractionate 16,300 barrels per day (bpd) of NGLs.
The company is installing the new fractionator in Bonnie View in Refugio County, which will have an initial capacity of 11,500bpd of NGLs and could be expanded to 15,000bpd.
The fractionator is being built 26 miles northeast of Corpus Christi near Southcross Energy’s Woodsboro gas processing facility and its 135mmcf/d Gregory gas processing facility and fractionator.
The Woodsboro gas processing facility is under construction and will have a capacity of 200mmcf/d.

Southcross Energy chairman and CEO David Biegler said: "Our new facilities will expand fractionation capacity and related infrastructure at our South Texas processing complex to alleviate a constrained NGL infrastructure environment.
"We are providing our customers with much-needed solutions, especially producers operating in the Eagle Ford Shale area who face the challenge of processing and fractionating their liquids-rich gas, and then transporting NGL products and residue gas to attractive markets."
