Unique Group has entered a joint cooperation agreement with Caspian InterIndustrial Company (CIC) to commence its business in Kazakhstan.

The agreement will see the establishment of a local office and workshop within this region to support the oil and gas sector, as well as mining and utility markets.
CIC is a leading organisation in the Republic of Kazakhstan that provides a diverse portfolio of services to the oil and gas exploration firms.
Unique Group director for its on-site engineering division Steve Hague said: “This is a very exciting and positive move by Unique Group to expand and develop a foothold into the Eastern European / Eurasian market.

Under the new agreement, Unique Group will provide on-site engineering services to the market, including hot tapping and line plugging, specialised machining applications, leak sealing and controlled bolting services.
Through the partnership with CIC, Unique Group will promote services offered by its survey equipment, marine and subsea, buoyancy and ballast, and diving and life support divisions.
CIC head of mechanical services Nurlan Chugayev said: “We’re pleased to have partnered with Unique Group, a prominent integrated subsea and offshore solution provider. As a company, we’re focused on developing the offshore oil industry and its related infrastructure, as well as the provision of marine and land-based seismic services to the local market.

The objective of this agreement is to develop a joint venture company within the country to enable the delivery of international products and services to the domestic market.
