US Infrastructure Holdings (USI) is to purchase the Wildcat Sabine natural gas gathering system in the Bossier-Haynesville Shale, which is located along the Texas-Louisiana border, US.

The Wildcat Sabine system is sited in the north-west corner of Sabine Parish and has a takeaway capacity of 200 million cubic feet (mmcf) per day.

Wildcat Sabine interconnects four regional gathering systems – the State Line gathering system, KinderHawk’s gas services, Producers Gas Transmission and the Tristate Sabine gathering system.

USI will construct a 20-mile extension at the southern end of the Wildcat Sabine system to provide producers with direct access to markets served by the Gulf South Pipeline, and the LP and Tennessee Gas Pipeline.

With this expansion, Wildcat’s total takeaway capacity will reach 400mmcf per day.

USI will complete the expansion by mid-2012.
