Finland-based Wärtsilä has secured two contracts to supply seawater/propane-based regasification modules to South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
The systems will be installed on floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) vessels owned by both Norway-based Höegh LNG and Russian energy company Gazprom.

The contracts were initially signed in July.
Modularised for easy installation, both regasification systems will also be supplied with seawater filter and steam/seawater heating modules.
As the systems are integrated with printed circuit heat exchangers and plate heat exchangers, they are compact and lighter compared with alternative solutions.
