Technical engineering and consulting solutions provider NV5 Global has secured a liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract to provide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) from an undisclosed Eastern US natural gas firm.
Under the $34m contract, NV5 will upgrade the liquefaction system of an LNG facility.

NV5 noted that the design work has already started on the new facility, which is anticipated for completion in 18 months.
NV5 chairman and CEO Dickerson Wright said: “The demand for new LNG facilities and upgrades to existing systems continues to grow. NV5 is well-positioned in this regard as demonstrated by high organic growth in the LNG sector.”
Liquefaction systems are generally used in the natural gas market to convert natural gas from a vapour to a liquid. These systems enable efficient storage and transportation.
According to the company, the new liquefier will replace an older system to increase capacity and reliability. It will also provide a safer and easier operation.

“This project award strengthens our client relationship and builds upon our 40-year history in the LNG industry.”
Last month, NV5 secured a $6m contract to provide environmental consulting and inspection services for the replacement of 61-mile natural gas pipeline infrastructure in the US states of Ohio and Virginia.
This contract is expected to be completed within a period of 19 months.
