Petrobras is currently dependent on offshore pipelines to bring natural gas produced offshore to the coast, where it is processed.

Petrobras cited a lack of infrastructure as a possible limitation to ship offshore natural gas to the coast for increasing oil production at the pre-salt area.

Viviana Coelho said that Petrobras intends to reduce its routine flaring emissions to zero by 2030.

By 2025, the company aims to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% to 50%.
