The equipment and services industry witnessed 58 transactions totalling $9.2bn in the third quarter of 2017, according to a report by GlobalData.
Titled ‘Quarterly Equipment and Services Deals Review – Q3 2017’, the report states that out of the total 58 transactions, 39 were domestic and the remaining 19 were cross-border deals.

In terms of regions, the Americas led the M&As with 31 deals with a combined value of $4.8bn. Out of the 31 deals, 24 were cross-border and the remaining were domestic deals.
The Americas region was followed by the EMEA, which accounted for 33% of the M&As. The EMEA region witnessed 19 acquisitions, ten of which were cross-border and the remaining nine were domestic transactions.
The APAC region witnessed eight deals, two of which were cross-border deals and the remaining were domestic deals.
