Digital oilfield solutions provider SitePro has collaborated with Microsoft’s Azure Cosmos DB to provide real-time monitoring and alerts in the oil field.

Under the oil and gas project collaboration with Microsoft’s Azure Cosmos DB, along with Microsoft Power BI, SitePro will offer real-time data and system alerts to oil and gas operators.

The collaboration is expected to increase runtimes, reduce costs and proactively manage environmental risks associated with leak and system failures.

With nearly instantaneous access to information, SitePro’s customers will be able to take immediate action to proactively address potential costly repairs before failure by identifying opportunities for improving operations.

The company noted that a customer who used the solution developed in collaboration with Microsoft realised an estimated $20m in labour savings a year.
