During the Gastech 2025 event, BOTAŞ signed five separate agreements with suppliers from various countries.

British energy company Hartree is set to deliver 600 million cubic metres of LNG over two years.

Minister Bayraktar expressed hope that this agreement would contribute significantly to Türkiye’s diverse, flexible and secure energy infrastructure.

Bayraktar said on his social media account: “We have discussed new opportunities in these areas with the current cooperation between Türkiye and the USA on oil and natural gas exploration and production, LNG trading, nuclear energy and critical mines. We believe that Türkiye-US energy relations will be further strengthened on the basis of a common vision and mutual trust in line with the goals set by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump.”

Cheniere, a major LNG producer from the US, will provide BOTAŞ with 1.2bcm of LNG cargoes within a year.

Additionally, a three-year agreement was established between BOTAŞ and SEFE, a German natural gas company, for the supply of 1.8bcm of gas.
