CIMIC Group company UGL has won contract extensions to provide maintenance and turnaround services for its oil and gas clients in Australia.
Generating a total revenue of $200m to UGL, the contracts will be executed over a multiple-year period.

Under the contracts, UGL will provide maintenance and turnaround services at the Chevron-operated Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities in Western Australia. UGL will supply mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and access services for maintenance, plant turnaround and brownfield execution.
It has received a contract extension for providing integrated services for structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation for existing clients in Western Australia.
It has also secured an extension of scope for maintenance and project-related services for an existing client’s assets across Victoria.
CIMIC Group chief executive officer Michael Wright said: “These contract awards exemplify the strength of UGL’s solid client relationships and its position as a market leader in the delivery of maintenance and mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services to the oil and gas industry.”

On 9 January, CIMIC Group announced that its mineral processing company Sedgman secured a contract at the Byerwen Coal Mine in Central Queensland.
Under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract, it has to deliver an expansion on the first phase of the project, which Sedgman secured last February, and includes the duplication of the existing coal handling and processing plant.
For CIMIC Group, the contract will generate revenue of $155m.
