Wood has obtained a two-year contract extension worth up to $65m (£48.32m) for Woodside Energy’s offshore assets at the North West Shelf (NWS) Project in Western Australia.
The agreement enables Wood to continue providing engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services at the liquefied natural gas (LNG) development.

In August 2023, Wood secured a contract extension until October 2025 for the same project.
The NWS Project remains one of the largest and most established LNG developments globally, offering consistent energy supply to both local and international markets.
The renewed agreement involves modifications aimed at enhancing the production, reliability and lifespan of several offshore facilities within Woodside’s portfolio. These facilities include the North Rankin Complex, Goodwyn A platform and Okha floating production, storage and offloading unit.

Since first securing this contract in 2013, our teams have developed deep knowledge of each asset and Woodside’s operational priorities.

Wood has deployed a workforce of 140 personnel from Perth for this contract, backed by its global engineering network.
Earlier this month, Wood secured two five-year framework agreements with Equinor. Under the deals, Wood will provide maintenance and modification services and deliver major modification projects across the Norwegian Continental Shelf and associated onshore facilities.
Following the official signing of the contracts, Wood is set to provide these services for the Snorre A and B installations.
