An early adopter of autonomous robotics, Equinor deploys ‘dogs’ and drones for both mundane and challenging tasks.
The move is intended to address the anticipated shortfall in the country’s gas supply, according to GasCo CEO Alan Heng.
Equinor will deliver gas at the Czech hub in Prague, with supplies intended for households and businesses in the capital and across the country.
Other companies that have shown interest in the assets include ExxonMobil, Chevron and Carlyle.
The planned trajectory for Karim-1 is a vertical well with a total depth of around 4,300ft.
The company is addressing outstanding issues including securing payment mechanisms for gas sales and an updated plan of development for the Jubilee oilfield.
