Odfjell Technology, a provider of well services technology and engineering solutions, is set to expand its services in Asia-Pacific through a cooperation agreement with R&D Solutions, an Australian energy industry equipment and services provider.

This move is set to enhance Odfjell Technology's presence in Australia, offering local representation and service delivery capabilities.

The partnership enables Odfjell Technology to bring its well intervention services, wellbore clean up and whipstock tools to the Australian well services and deep-water markets.

The company has also indicated plans to grow its presence in the regional plug and abandonment (P&A) sector, following the expansion of its P&A and slot recovery services in 2024 with the acquisition of McGarian TDC.

Odfjell Technology Middle East & Asia Pacific vice-president Paul Toner said: “Expanding our reputation and relationships into Australia is a critical part of our global growth strategy. R&D Solutions, with its headquarters in Perth, Western Australia, boasts a 15-year history of supplying drilling, completion, flow control, intervention tools and services to the oil and gas as well as geothermal markets.

With a presence in Australia, Asia, Canada, Europe and the US, the company is a key partner in terms of Odfjell Technology's growth.
