Petrofac has strengthened its partnership with Ithaca Energy in the UK North Sea with a two-year contract renewal valued at $50m (£37.02m).
As per the integrated services contract, Petrofac, which has supported Ithaca Energy since 2011, will continue to deliver operations, maintenance, engineering, construction, and both onshore and offshore technical expertise.
This collaboration encompasses Ithaca Energy's North Sea operated asset portfolio, which features the Alba, Captain, Erskine and FPF-1 fields.
Petrofac’s asset solutions and energy transition projects businesses chief operating officer John Pearson said: “The continuation of our long-standing relationship with Ithaca Energy is testament to the safe and reliable delivery of operations services by our team, who have been embedded on these assets for well over a decade.
“The North Sea is one of Asset Solutions’ core markets and this award underlines the commitment from both Petrofac and Ithaca Energy to the region. We remain focused on supporting Ithaca Energy to maximise safe, efficient and responsible production from its assets.”
This contract comes after Petrofac secured an extension earlier this month in the UK's southern North Sea from ONEgas West, a venture operated by Shell UK.
The scope of this contract encompasses a range of services for ONEgas West’s southern North Sea portfolio, which includes support for the Clipper South complex, Leman Alpha assets, Bacton Terminal and OneGas Barge campaigns.
Petrofac is an energy services company that provides consultancy expertise in designing, building and operating energy facilities.
Its operations span various markets, supporting the entire asset life cycle from design to decommissioning.
Last year, Petrofac expanded its footprint in Africa by securing a new master service agreement with Marathon Oil for operations in Equatorial Guinea.
