Global offshore projects and services provider Subsea7 has secured a significant contract from the Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center (TP-OTC) for phase three of the Sakarya field development in the Black Sea, offshore Türkiye.
The agreement encompasses the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines.
The project management and engineering activities will start immediately, with operations being managed by Subsea7's Istanbul-based office.
Subsea7 Global Projects Centre East senior vice-president David Bertin said: “This award builds on our track record in Türkiye and further reinforces our relationship with TP-OTC, demonstrating Subsea7’s expertise in delivering complex, integrated offshore projects safely and reliably.
“It underlines our commitment to supporting Türkiye’s strategic energy goals and advancing our strong regional presence.”
This collaboration between Subsea7 and TP-OTC continues their partnership, with a significant contract awarded last December for inspection, repair and maintenance services at the same field.

In other developments, Subsea7 recently announced a contract award from Equinor for the Fram Sør development project offshore Norway, as well as a contract for a front-end engineering and design study by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia for the Previously Produced Fields development project, also offshore Norway.
