TriMas has completed the sale of its Arrow Engine business to IES Infrastructure Solutions, marking its exit from the oil and gas market.

The transaction was finalised on 31 January.

Arrow Engine is known for its natural gas-powered engines used in remote applications such as oilfield pump jacks and compressors.

The company distributes its products through a global network, primarily in the US and Canada, and offers a range of spare parts for various industrial engines.

TriMas president and CEO Thomas Amato said: “Founded in 1955, Arrow Engine was a legacy TriMas business and part of the TriMas portfolio for several decades.

“We are pleased to place this business with IES Infrastructure Solutions, the right partner to take Arrow Engine to the next level. This move is another important step in optimising TriMas’ business portfolio.”

Arrow Engine will operate under IES' Infrastructure Solutions segment going forward and remain operational under the Arrow name.

IES Infrastructure Solutions, a division of IES Holdings, provides electrical and mechanical apparatus services and custom-engineered solutions.

The exclusive financial advisor for the sale was Woodward Park Partners, with Holland & Knight serving as the outside legal counsel for TriMas.

With the completion of the sale, TriMas' 2025 segment reporting for specialty products will only include the financial performance of the Norris Cylinder division, including one month of Arrow Engine's results.
