GE will provide the French company with set-up and installation, project implementation and monitoring services and support.

The software can automatically and continuously identify reasons for and the priority of impending failures.

Total Group rotating machinery head Bernard Quoix said that the solution is aimed at monitoring the equipment from headquarters or a remote base anywhere in the world in order to produce suitable alerts and alarms in the presence of abnormal running conditions.

"This will allow our maintenance and engineering teams to analyse and launch appropriate maintenance actions," Quoix added.
