Copano Energy will provide gathering, compression, processing and fractionation services to GeoSouthern Energy for its Eagle Ford Shale production from DeWitt County in Texas, US.

Copano will gather gas into its recently completed 36 mile, 24in DK Pipeline in the counties of DeWitt and Karnes.

The firm will also provide fully integrated services for natural gas and natural gas liquids at its Houston Central Complex in Colorado County, Texas.

Copano will also expand its Houston Central Complex fractionation facilities and its downstream NGL product handling facilities to accommodate producer demand in the rapidly developing Eagle Ford Shale.

The expansion, expected to come onstream in September 2011, will double Copano’s current capacity to 44,000 barrels per day and is expected to cost about $60m.
