Repsol is looking to increase the processing capacity of its 102,000bpd La Pampilla oil refinery to meet surging demand for petrol.
The firm is considering an expansion to 213,000bpd in 2011 from 178,000bpd this year, according to Bloomberg.

Dante Blotte, CEO for Repsol’s refinery and gas station business in Peru, said that fuel supply and demand are nearly balanced in Peru.
“Next year looks just as strong the way the economy is growing,” Blotte said.
